Kate and James have five children. They are not sure if they will be having any more, so Kate wanted to make sure that we were able to capture images of their youngest daughter as she turns 1 year old! Kate is a baker, so she made Vivienne this beautiful rustic cake for the session. We wanted to create a magical feel to the photos, so we opted to take pictures out by the lake during the “golden hour”. Vivienne was dressed up, complete with a floral headband. To help create the whimsical feeling of the portrait, we set up a tent next to the lake to give her a place to enjoy eating her cake. The light was a beautiful golden, pink color which completed the colors of her balloons and flowers. Not all one year old’s enjoy eating the cake as much as Vivienne did. She quietly sat there, eating more and more! What a great time we had celebrating Vivienne’s 1 year milestone!
