Welcome Baby Rio to the world! Rio came to the studio to do an in-studio lifestyle newborn photo shoot. Lifestyle meaning we had pictures of mom & dad holding baby Rio in their arms. We had photo of baby with dad, baby with mom, and baby with both of them. He was so alert and wide awake for his session. I was surprised how alert he was for being so young! It felt like he was looking right at you!
Because he was awake, we did some photos of his face and tried to capture the many faces he made. I love these type of shots and have heard them called “baby mug shots” because they are closeups of his face. And that is one cute face with so many expressions!!
Mom and dad brought along a few personal items to their photo session. We were sure to include those in a couple of images. Grandma is an artist and had painted this beautiful painting that had to be shown with baby Rio. And there was also a jar of sand from mom & dad’s wedding. Since dad is from Honduras, a traditional, colorful blanket was laid over Rio to celebrate his heritage. All in all, baby Rio is one beautiful boy and is loved deeply by his mom & dad and other family members! Thank you mom & dad for letting me take some of Rio’s first portraits!
