Location Spotlight! Fernandez Ranch in Martinez, CA

[pp_gallery id=”767″]A couple of weeks ago, a friend told me about this new (to me) location that is in Martinez. It is also close to Hercules, California. I love checking out a potential new location. Being a photographer and a lifelong resident of the East Bay, I was surprised to learn about this open space! I had never been here before.  Since this was the beginning of summer, the green grass of the winter was fading. But I love the light and airy look of a dry, open field! There were still remnants of wildflowers, so I will definitely go back during the spring when those are in full bloom. An added bonus was seeing the wandering cows up close. Also, this is a great place to take your little ones on a hike and enjoy the beautiful surroundings!

I can imagine family sessions here taking place during the golden hour when the light from the sun cast a glow across the open hills. Check out more information about this location here:
